Lash Lift Aftercare
This procedure requires very low maintenance and is perfect for anyone looking to reduce the time for regular upkeep. However, as it is the case for any post-application, there is a little extra care required over the first 48 hours.

Do not get your lashes wet for the first 48 hours. Do not go to the swimming pool or swim in the ocean. Avoid contact with water for 48 hours.

Do not apply any makeup or any product to your lashes for 48 hours. After respecting strictly 48 hours, you may apply your regular mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, or any type of makeup products you want; it will not affect the lashes. However, never use waterproof mascara.

Do not use any oils, lotions, creams, shampoo, facial washes, makeup remover solutions, or wipes and pads on your lashes for a minimum of 48 hours.

Avoid any exposure to sources of heat. Avoid hot yoga, steam, and sauna for a minimum of 48 hours. If you cook, you need to avoid standing over the stovetop for a minimum of 48 hours. You may be exposed to steam after a minimum of 48 hours, but be aware that it may weaken your lash lift.

Do not apply any facial beauty treatment for 48 hours.
Cleaning & Hygiene:

Day 1: Do not touch or rub your eyes or eyelashes immediately after the treatment. If redness or irritation occurs, apply a cool damp cotton compress to the eye area. If symptoms persist for more than 24 hours seek medical advice. Do not sleep on your face for 48 hours.

Day 2: Avoid exposure to hot water or steam directed to your face or near the eyes.

Day 3 and beyond: Please refrain to rub your eyes or lashes. Do not use oil-based products or any conditioning treatments or serums on the lashes. This will cause the semi-permanent tinting to dissolve faster. The tinting will start to disappear within 2-3 weeks as your lash grows and the tint fades away. Strong exposure to direct sunlight and UV light can accelerate the fading of the tint. Use a gentle facial cleanser or eye makeup remover. Avoid any exfoliating cleanser or products containing AHA’s and oil.

Do lash lifts and tints damage natural lashes?

Provided you select a trained and certified professional, then have no fears – your natural lashes will not be damaged. Request to see your Lash Artist's certifications.
It is also very important that the aftercare instructions provided to you by your Lash Artist are fully followed to protect your natural lashes and maintain the curl achieved with your treatment.
What should I expect during my lash lift treatment?

A lash lift and tinting treatment is a relaxing and pain-free procedure. Due to the specific nature of the service, there is a great deal of safety and care required to result in a positive experience and successful service. Therefore, please be prepared to lay completely still, with your eyes closed for the entire duration of your service, which is typically around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
How long will my lash lift and tint last?

Lash lifts have the potential to last up to 12 weeks, depending on the health and growth cycle of your natural lashes, combined with your lifestyle and respect for the aftercare.
Lash (and eyebrow) tinting has the potential to last up to 4 weeks, depending on lifestyle, exposure to various cleansers, etc. Hence, try to avoid oil-based cleansers and cosmetics, as well as rubbing of the eye and brow area to help extend the lifetime of your tint.
The Keratin Yumi Lash Treatment Procedure – What to expect?

You will be perfectly comfortable throughout the entire procedure. All you have to do is lie back and relax while an experienced technician performs the treatment. Many people say that they doze off a bit during it because their eyes are closed and there’s no discomfort involved.
An eyelash lift begins with the cleansing of the lashes. The top and bottom lashes are separated, and a silicone shield adheres to your skin with a gentle glue. These silicone shields are made in various sizes to correspond to the type of curl you want.
The lashes are combed upward to adhere to the shield. The beauty professional applies a permanent solution. This solution is completely safe for use in the eye area.
The solution softens your eyelashes so that they can better conform to the shape of the silicone shield. The ingredients in the solution include a mixture of organic compounds that help your lashes to adjust to a new shape while nourishing them as well.

Typically, the solution is left in place for anywhere from six to 12 minutes. If your eyelash is straight and does not curl very well, then it’s likely that the application process will take longer.
Then, the setting solution is applied, along with oil. The setting solution breaks down your eyelash bonds to curl into shape. The oil contains nourishing ingredients of glycerin, aloe vera, and grapeseed oil. Moreover, one of the main ingredients is a humectant that actually draws extra moisture into your eyelashes. This step is an incredibly restorative conditioner treatment for your eyelashes.
An alternative step that you may want to include in your treatment is a tinting process to make your lashes darker and shinier. Tinting can be so effective that you may not need to use mascara for the 8 to 12 weeks. If your lashes are already dark or if you prefer to use mascara, then you skip this step.
